Naomi Brasky was born on October 24, 1925 in Berlin, and every Shabbat morning she

would wake up to her father Ire, putting on t'fillin and praying before he went to the temple. My

Savta's parents were also religious, so she grew up with Shabbat and Havdalah. Havdalah was

one of my Savta's favorite times of the week. She said that her Shabbat dinners were very

wonderful and so were the high holidays. This was the earliest memory her Jewish life. I think

that it is really amazing that she could be that in touch with her Jewish life considering that she

.was growing up during the Holocaust. After a while she left Berlin and went to Denmark alone

Then she went to Sweden. After that she went to Brussels to get a visa to enter Palestine. She

finally entered Palestine where she one again got connected with Judaism

נעמי נולדה ב 24 באוקטובר 1925 בברלין, ובכל שבת היא היתה מתעוררת לקול הנחת התפילין והתפילות של אביה לפני שהיה יוצא לבית הכנסת.

זה באמת מדהים שהיא יכולה להיות בקשר עם החיים היהודים שלה בהתחשב בכך שהיא גדלה בתקופת השואה. לאחר זמן מה היא עזבה את ברלין ונסעה לדנמרק לבד. בהמשך היא נסעה לשוודיה, ואחר כך לבריסל כדי לקבל אשרת כניסה לפלסטין. לבסוף היא נכנסה לפלסטין, שם היא חידשה את הקשר שלה ליהדות.
